My Equipment
When I started out the first thing I borrowed was an old pair of binoculars. I promise I'll return them Alan, very soon!, this was a great start, allowing me to learn the night sky (still learning), and really build a clear image of what I really wanted to do with this hobby.
In a short time I realised that I wanted to capture what I was enjoying through the eyepiece, as much to share my hobby with my family, who rather surprisingly to me, were not that keen on standing out in a field at three in the morning in sub zero temperatures! Oh well, each to their own!
My current equipment list is not that exciting, and I am sure that throughout the life of this hobby I will purchase new items and upgrade others, but that is all part of the fun right? :-)
My Wish List:
- Clear Skies & Good Seeing!
- Canon 300D - One Down! - Aaargh IT's died!
- Skywatcher 80ED - Two Down!
- EQ6 SkyScan Pro Mount - Three Down!
- WO FLT 132 or TMB130
- 6 winning lottery numbers and on one else is allowed to win that week :-)
One & Six may take some arranging, but please drop me a line if you can help in anyway! ;-)
One thing about this hobby, the deeper you go the bigger your wish list becomes. There is always a bigger scope or mount, always another eyepiece or camera that will help you achieve the images or view you desire.
Beware, and protect your bank balance :-)
